100 Years of God's Faithfulness

Objective:
Produce an 18-minute documentary that preserves St. Louis Chinese Gospel Church’s 100-year history while maintaining a present day outlook, engaging a modern audience for a centennial celebration.

Approach:
Conducted primary research through sit-down interviews with members and community leaders, gathering personal narratives and historical insight. Collaborated with the centennial event coordinator to align the film’s tone, structure, and runtime with the event’s programming and audience. Independently handled all aspects of production, including filming, editing, and narrative construction.

Outcome:
Screened at the church’s centennial event for an audience of approximately 500 attendees. The film offered an emotionally resonant experience, transforming historical research and interviews into one cohesive and impactful story.
